what is that ta33c capable of? Im thinking of upgrading my stocker to a ta49 plus alky would this be a strong set up?

TA33C is a stock turbo machined out and the TA49 compressor and exhaust wheel installed. Flows slightly lower than a stock TA49 without the install issues. Brad

Brand new TA33c from Limit Engineering....You should have seen the before pic!

they need your core but fast turn around.....shipping there and back is what took all the time..........add you alky now......destroy your existing turbo with all the boost your going to try pushing out of it then get a new one later...like winter...

phvrod wat did u pay ? do u get back the same stock turbo u send in to them? or do they send u out another turbo thats already been modified? ?
 
another question y do the alky before the ta33c upgrade ? is there a reason for that just wondering

IT was around $900..as far as why alky first i dont believe anyone is saying it has to be first other than its the quickest,easiest and cheapest bang for your buck..i didnt install the alky yet as i knew my turbo was failing fast..I upgraded the injectors added powerlogger and all kinds of stuff..i call and ordered the nozzle and went ahead and installed so when i did add alky all i had to do was to screw in the line not remove anything.....he sells them on his ebay store for around $18 dollars and the cap is the same cap that is used on the fuel rail.........Lonmg story short..i was out messing around with the powerlogger and was doing a wot testing recording..car ran awesome then the turbo blew so if i had added the alky it would have lasted maybe 5 seconds less? I know know what the hell it sounds like when the turbo goes, nive smoke screen too! I couldnt tell you for sure if its the same part i shipped all i know is they said they have to have mine to start...

Alky is first because there is more horsepower to be had by turning up the boost on a stock turbo. Alky allows this without knock. Brad
 
i c makes sense so is the alky system always activated ? meaning is it always on running through the car or is there a switch u flip wen u want to use it? wat do u do or go wen ur out of methanol? phvrod mentioned its the best bang for the buck how much is this kit its not listed on their website?
 
price is around 650 or so if i remember right for the alky kit. as far as the system being active all the time yes. is it always flowing into the motor no. The system is boost activated. it will kick in at a preset boost about 7psi from razor but you can make it come on sooner. so it will turn on when you get into boost and spray more and more the more boost you run. as for what to do when your out of alky? well there is a low fuel light to warn you the tank is getting low. so you keep out of high boost and refill asap. i dont get into any boost once the light flashes at me. also the tank of alky will last awhile.

Horsepower gain? Zero. Boost above stock-10 HP per one pound boost.

Alky only turns on at five pounds boost. One Alky tank lasts awhile unless you are constantly beating the crap out of your car by being into your turbo all the time.

as far as horsepower gain, like posted above about 10hp per 1 lb of boost. so depending on your current tune say your running 15 and now you go to 20 and with the cooling effect you might see 50hp gain. then again this is just a guess as the # will very
