What to lube cylinders with?

Any suggestions on what to lube a cylinder wall with? Had an engine in storage and wanted to put something in the cylinders so I can crank it over and check timing and oil pressure before I fire it up...

Someone suggested 50/50 of oil and wd40... Any suggestions appreciated

It's thin and has a lot of detergent in it. It will easily seep down around the rings.
