What to use for removing adhesive?

Hey fellers just wondering what i can use to remove the adhesive that helkd the rubber strip in this picture. I need something that will remove it without ruining the paint. Thanks, Dan.

WD- 40 Spray and keep wiping ,,,It works great ... Seen it in hot rod mag long ago .. Been using that for everything ....

Ok...next question...or maybe it is the first HOW did you get the door guards off in the first place! I have been thinking about removing mine, but I am afraid it will pull the paint!

I have used a hair dryer to remove stickers that dealerships like to put on their cars, but I did not know that it would also work for those door guards as well. So, do you just heat it up, then soak them in WD40 and then pull?

With my luck, something bad would happen.:frown:

X2, guys with the C5 vettes usually remove the body side molding by using the fishing line, heatgun/hairdrier & wd40. Whatever is left on the car, one of those eraser wheels work great but makes quite a mess.

I agree...just don't get this stuff on any new paint...it will remove it...old paint is OK...
