Ok...next question...or maybe it is the first:D HOW did you get the door guards off in the first place! I have been thinking about removing mine, but I am afraid it will pull the paint!

Hair dryer to soften and WD40 to remove.

Im not sure what would damage that paint tho

I have used a hair dryer to remove stickers that dealerships like to put on their cars, but I did not know that it would also work for those door guards as well. So, do you just heat it up, then soak them in WD40 and then pull?

With my luck, something bad would happen.:frown:

Fishing string works good for taking molding, or emblems off.

X2, guys with the C5 vettes usually remove the body side molding by using the fishing line, heatgun/hairdrier & wd40. Whatever is left on the car, one of those eraser wheels work great but makes quite a mess.
