All they have to be is good salesman. They have to know how to BS their way through things that they do not understand, unfortunately their BS does not work with us. There are probably people out there that think even less of the GN's now. Bring em on.

Someone got a deal.

Sh1t, someone straight stole that car. I'm suprised he didn't set a higher reserve?

Yeah, those 2 announcers are idiots. They acted like the damn car was going to be driven to work or something. Like practicality was an issue.

I'll bet someone from this site bought the car.

I bet you right, they had a few phone bidders.

I bet he had 75k in that car when it is all said and done. :(

Theres gotta be more than that in it, I bet the "average" stage 2 car here has close to that much in it, minus all the suspension and custom work done on Gallinas car.

Travis,

They had way over $100,000 in that car.
They had more in the motor than the car sold for.
I guessed they would get about $50,000.
Chris guessed a little lower.

Dam John:eek: That stinks.

I agree someone stole this car. Could not duplicate for twice the money.

Congratulations to the person that bought it! Hope you are going to race it and not just park it.

He wants to ride out the summer and find a clean GNX. I told him it works for me as when I finally get Bill A car, I will be set-back some dough. ;)

This gives me the summer to move some money around and come up with a game plan to get it, half cash half finance it.

It took half the night to convince Danielle, all she wanted to talk about is Travis you have a 03 Harley Road King 20k, you are getting a S1 car 23k, now you want this. You are going to kill me. :p

I said, Honey it is like money in the bank. These cars are only going up in value. Please watch this auction with me to see the price of cars.

So here we are on a Sunday in shorts and a sweat shirt watching the auctions. Danielle says wow, you are right these prices are nuts. I said I told you.

Then John's car sells for 47k:mad: She just gave me that look:eek: I think my ass puckered a little:D

I will ride out the summer and see what it brings, seller is in no rush. I can drool over the pictures for a few months and figure it out. Dam I need to hit the lottery:D

sounds just like my house

Cmon dear better than $$$$ in the bank. I think she finally gets tired of me begging and gives in just to hear me shut up:D

gallina car,

i would bet that john still has his car. it sold with no reserve he could have some one to bid it off for him, if it didnt bring enought money, that is what i would have done, i go to a lot of auction sales, some big farm sales and i have saw this a lot. just my opinion oc,:)

I was at the auction on Thursday, and spoke to John. He said he had no intention of letting it go too cheap, and was prepared to buy it back (I guess that means paying B-J both the buyer's and sellers premiums in order to keep the car.) He'd had an understanding with B-J just in case, becuase there were NO Reserves allowed this year - that's right, all the cars were "no reserve."

Keep in mind, although the car has a "heritage" of sorts, it's a race car. They rarely EVER bring anywhere near what they cost to build.

$100,000 would'nt touch that car if you were trying to build it, that proved to me I would never be able to sell mine whole! I could have bought a REAL NICE low mileage GN for what I have in a transmission and clutch! I was hoping to see Johns car bring in at least $70k.

barrett jackson WTF

they just sold that 7 second gn for 46 k what a joke that car cost what to build , how many hundreds of thousands
