I think the purpose of it is so that you can pull the cable tighter. Now,when you go WOT the spring will compress. Allowing even later and higher pressure shifts. Correct me if I am wrong.

Looks like it gives you higher line psi at lower throttle positions.

That's correct. I sent them an E-mail awhile back & asked. Slightly higher pressure when throttle is first moved.

Not to hi-jack this thread but......

I've seen this spring kit before, is this o.k. to use to eliminate that loose cable droop?
Is there any harm on raising the trans fluid pressure with that spring? Or should a properly set cable not have that cable droop?
