I wanted a GT6776 bb but money tree hasnt been blooming as fast lately:rolleyes: so Then I saw the fantabulous sale that Cal and Mike had and figured i would pick up a 6152 for cheap... now im surfing flea-bay and see this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=190062492881&rd=1,1 . Looks decent, right? Big shaft stage V S cover. So help me make my decision - QUICK - Mikes sale ends soon LOL

this is just my .2 cents but one i would never buy something as critical as a turbo of ebay. 2 i dont care for turbonetics but thats just me. i would wait and save the money and get what u want to get from someone you can trust. can you trust ebay??? i dont. again thats just my 2 cents

I would probably call and talk to someone at VECCO first and then call Turbonetics to verify there authorized status before droppin the ca$h. my main concern is the turbo comparison. FYI Mike and Fullthrottle have e-bay stores too and so does PTE so im not really worried about that - you just have to do your research and ONLY buy from reputable dealers. As far as Turbonetics goes i have one on my car and its held up fine - i think Grumpy/Melissa have been beating on a 66P or Q trim for a while now. I do however understand your save now for what you really want sentiment but i realistically dont know when i will have a lump of 12-1500 laying there unaccountable that i can put towards the turbo. Right now Mikes prices are Amazing to say the least - this by far are the cheapest prices i have EVER seen on turbos since i ve owned my car and thats 9 years.

back to topic - appreciate your response. Thank you.

i agree turbos, and big one's are pretty cheap right now. If i had money i would definitly be turbo shopping right now.

I'd be a little gun shy buying a turbo off of Ebay ... IF ya stick with a vendor there shouldn't be a problem if you have a problem  We are eyeballin the 67BB to  Just looked at the ebay add.. guess they are a distrib for Turbonetics ..

wow, that turbo is ta49 prices right now. i like that alot. im just soo gun shy though... i dont know. i just dont trust buying anything new from anyone other than a tr specific store. a REAL brick and mortar store. but god is that a great deal..

My dad's car ran the 6152 for a while..now he's going to be running the GTQ70 whenever it finally gets here:mad:

Anyhow, the 6152 spools real hard and seems to pull equally as well. It has a strong midrange and with the larger exhaust housing pulls hard on the top end. The best we could muster out of this turbo was right at 121 mph at 25 psi...we never tried turning the wick up past this level. IMO it's a good turbo you can't go wrong with.

IMO it's a good turbo you can't go wrong with.
