If you were getting some money out and some guy came up and robbed you at gunpoint.

Would you give the money away?
Would you follow his directions or try and fight him?

Tell me what you would do, and be honest.

If the gun is in my face..I'd stick it up his Azz.

If he's out of reach..I'd do whatever he asks.

hmmmm gunpoint ??? give him the $$$ ...then as he is running away shoot him in the head ...take your $$ back an go out drinkin ... what a story that would be !!

It would depend. If its $20, I'd give it to him. But if it was a lot, or if the situation appeared to be in my favor (like I'm with friends, etc.), I'd try to disarm him and call the cops after I used only neccessary force;) . More people need to fight back against criminals, they only look for weak or easy targets, if people start fighting back more criminals might think twice. But like I said, every situation is different, like if my wife and/or child was with me, I'd give him whatever he wanted so long as he didn't touch them, but at the same time, if I thought he might hurt them, I might fight even harder. I try not to put myself in any kind of situation where I could be in danger, but I refuse to live in fear of low life pieces of sh!t. I know most people would say "Theres nothing worth your life", which is true, but in my mind its hard to live with yourself knowing you let yourself be a victim. I'd rather suffer injury fighting for my family, my property, or myself than be unharmed but ashamed.

I'd either hand him the $ and shoot him with my .45 ACP as he fled or I'd "accidentally" drop the $ and as he's distracted shoot him. As he's down and bleeding handcuff him and read him his Miranda rights.

If you're gonna shoot him, you'd better kill him, dead people can't sue. Or come back for revenge, etc. I think the average gun toting criminal isn't really going to pull the trigger, they just use it for intimidation. Of course, theres no way to tell........

Tough guys, i tell ya those are the ones that end up shot in the head, i was robed at gun point, and i just handed over my cash, i never gave him my wallet, i did call the cops and they did catch the focker, you guys here mean to tell me your willing to risk you lives for $40, $100 or $200 bucks? let me tell ya i had a 9mm gun in my car and i did think about going after this guy and scattering his brains all over the street, but suppose some innocent person was shot in the cross fire? i called the cops and made them earn their pay. we're all tough in our way's but when there's a gun pointed at you, you go into self preservation mode, you try and do everything possible to keep both you and the robber calm.
but that's just me.

here in FL, the law pretty much reads that if you pull a gun on someone it better be in a life or death situation, which this thread is about, ok cool, after that, you better shoot to kill for a couple reasons, and you best do it in one or two shots, you unload a clip in him and yer screwed....and you better hope your concealed weapon license is up to date

best just giving the guy the money...and hope the atm camera helps ya out

I'd do nothing, I'd just wait for my good friends Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Green Lantern & Platehead man aka Jim Rome to swoop in and save the day like they always do. They are always nearby and ready to protect me at all times.

Did this happen to you or are you planning a robbery??

Knowing Bridgeport, I don't think I would even use an ATM.

Bridgeport?

Wouldn't use a walkup ATM, day or night. :(

In the car, keep it in gear with door locked.

They can have the money then some Nitto prints on their backside. ;)

Report it to the police :)

Actually I have thought about this. When I drive up I make sure I pull up real close so the robber can't walk up. Also I make sure the doors are locked.

If I was at a walk up one. No matter how much $$ I had taken out I would give it. It is not worth getting killed over CASH no matter how much I love money I can make more.
Some of these doped up wackos have no clue and would kill you for the money that is why I would give it to him/her.

Then if I had a shot at running them over I might just do it.

Here you guys boys. First hand account. I agree with what this guy says. Give him what he wants. It's not worth getting killed over. OR......if you can shoot him in the a$$ while he is running away....more power to you.

It depends if I was carrying at the time. It would also depend on if the scum only wanted $20. I personally don't like the idea of giving people what I worked hard to earn. My viewpoint is, if you want to take something from me, you're gonna work for it.

I would like to think that I'd be a tough guy and kick his backside. Truthfully, however, I would give him the money, call the cops, then go change my undies. :o

I have a wife and three kids...I'd hand him the money.
Take the gun away, and I'd stomp a mud hole in him.
CC is only good if you can get it out of the holster.

Most dopes aren't thinking their victim is armed. They think they have the upper hand because they are sticking a gun in your face. Overconfidence is their undoing.

I don't think anyone's saying they'll challenge the dummy to a duel or try a quick draw contest, at least I wouldn't. However, I don't go to an ATM without my .45 in my waist. Fine, give stupid the $ and as he turns away light him up.

Personally I'd more pissed off than scared. Either way, I'm allowed to carry a pistol 24/7 and if someone tries a stupid move like this on me the playing field will be even. Not a tough guy, but choose to walk softly and carry a big stick.

It's interesting this has been brought up. One of my partners had this very thing happen to him in Flint, MI. The only difference was the fact there were 7 people in line at the ATM. He tried to get everyone. As soon as he turned away my partner pulled his pistol, put it to his head and gave him a choice. He was handcuffed then kicked repeatedly by the would-be victims. Street justice. :D
