Unless she is tuning or driving the car, leave her @ss at home. Theres nothing worse then seeing a guy tailed around by his old lady at a function like BG she has no interest in, but is there only to make sure her boyfriend isn't eyeballing track tramps. Take her to Atlantic City the next weekend.

Unless she really likes this stuff, which the ones I was ever was with got bored real quick or refused to go to a car "thing" at all. Especially the Buick meet, here's why...they have nothing diverse to catch their attention. It's all freakin the same black car in their eyes. A "car show" is doable barely, cause there is all kinds of cars to look at, but a hard core event like BG, well just go yourself so you can focus on your habit/addiction with genuine focus, I'd suggest to her that she stay home and then take her to someplace you both can enjoy. A strip club. What? chicks dig that right?

I was in the exact same senario when stationed in Ohau, Hawaii there was a 8 hour weekend Family cruise to Maui. The GF chose to fly in and out and since a free ride was provided and she chose other means she had to pay.

But then again I dont know what your income situation is but if you make much more than her pick up the tab, but if she can afford it exercise some equal rights.

On a side note, I conducted an experiment with the same GF mentioned above.
I was a junior enlisted making chicken scratch and she was a nurse making $28 an hour. I was ALWAYS picking up the tab, groceries, dining out, entertainment, etc.
So one day we were walking home and she says" I feel like Mexican tonight"
I say "well its going to have to be on you, cause Im broke"
She replied quite snippy"You dont have $20!?"
"Nope" said I.
30 seconds pass and she says "ok, we have plenty of food at home we can eat."
Cant say I was surprised, needless to say we arent together anymore--selfcentered biotch.

My wife knows that the more time I spend on the Buick, the less attractive I would be to another woman. I just respond..."Well, it depends on what trailer park I happen to be driving through". The last time I went to BG I came home with money. I actually didn't go completely broke there.

Depends on how much she's "into it". My girlfriend(now wife) was the one who brought it to my attention when my left tire wasn't smoking as much as the right during a burnout when I brought her to the track with me shortly after we met. Thanks to her, I was able to throw new clutches in my posi before anything got hurt. She's pretty good now at telling me how the car is leaving, etc. now. If your gf is just going to complain, tell her you can't afford the plane ticket right now
