i never really looked closely at anyone elses TR's windshield, so maybe i am the only one with this, but right in the middle of the windsheild there is a thin wire running thought it. i figured it was a radio antenna, but then why would i have a power antenna?

can some one fill me in on this?

thanks

You're correct. It's an antenna. I guessing the windshield was replaced with one that had an antenna in it.

All of the 78-82? G bodies could be had a windshield antenna. Actually it was standard. Sounds like you got one some how.

Are those antennas better? My old Pontiac had one. Seemed to work well. My mothers 2000 Grand Prix has one in the back window. Anyone? Anyone?? Eliminate the power antenna?

I believe around 85 or 86, all cars came with fender mounted antennas. DW 934 was number without antenna. DW935 was with. DW 1016 was the new number for the WS in 85 or 86 which was the same as DW934, but just had the rear view mirror bracket repositioned to allow for the 3rd brake light.

I would assume someone replaced the windshield in your car with a DW935. Is the wire plugged into to a receptacle just below the center of the windshield?
