I just recently changed the filter and fluid in my transmission. I had read that putting type-f transmission fluid in it, would make the shifts crispier, and also make it run cooler.
Every since I did this, the car hasn't acted the same.
Car sometimes shifts right through the gears when it should only be in 2nd. and also it doesn't downshift like it should.
I took it out tonight to see what else it might do and it started slipping really bad going into 2nd.
Thats it, that fluid is coming out.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
I had synthetic in it and I guess it was doing really well for a 100k mile car. Car shifted firm but not hard enough to break tires loose.
It might be time for a rebuild? Any help here would be greatly appreciated??
