O.K. pretty much stock 87 gn stock turbo, inj, wastegate. Only minor mods K&N, old Hypertech chip, adjustable regulator, and dual flowmasters with no cat, aftermarket boost and rich/lean gauges so I know I'm not leaning out and knocking.
So here lies the problem, I have to keep my boost set at 10-12 psi because if I set it for any more, and I mean just one or two turns more it spools EXTEREMELY SSSSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! And then at about 5 psi WHAM!!!! 16-17 psi and BOOM!!!!! It sounds like a backfire. I have aftermarket boost and rich/lean gauges so I know I'm not leaning out and knocking.
Whats the deal man!!?!?!?
My kingdom for an answer to why my gn is always messed up!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!
