kirban 2 cents worth

I guessed wrong I know who you are I thought you were the local person that now owns a Syclone I should have looked at your member name....so the above post I made will not make sense to you...

I think I have owned 2 or 3 Syclones over the years.

I was thinking this might actually be Reggie with your name:D

I "think" he owned GNX 044 sometime ago....... or the numbered car that matched his uniform number..... could be wrong though:cool:

Dennis' Syclone was actually Serial #18 and was VERY low among the Syclones thats were released to the general public back then and adding even some more neat history to Dennis' Syclone was the fact it was the actual GM Fleet/PR Test vehicle used by Car & Driver Magazine in the September 1991 issue with a article called 'The $96,000 Sting' where Car and Driver used Syclone #18 in stock form as a head to head test against a Ferrari 348ts! Do I have to tell you which vehicle (truck) won! ;)

I think I still have that issue floating around. The test crew also tested the carrying capacity by loading the syclone with Kegs. Needless to say the ferrari lost this challenge also.

great stories and info Dennis thanks for sharing and I now see the t-top car in question posted on craigslist of anybody's interested in saving it haha but it won't be me im keeping the syclone and checking out another 87 this weekend hopefully but a hard top

1987 Buick Grand National

I don't think you should even have a doubt in your mid about what you should do, but here goes my 2 cents. Keep your SY that with 93k miles looks 20 times better that his 54k mile GN (are you sure its not 154K miles:biggrin: ), we all know that they only made a few SY's and a sh!t load of GN's. Don't take me wrong I have a GN with 41K miles on it with it original factory paint that I love and also a 93 Ty. So I know a bit about both.

Trust me I enjoy being the only syclone around, at local meets or car shows.. no one knows what they are at all so it doesn't get respect or attention from police or scumbags unlike my previous 87 gn's did.

Only thing is if it had a back seat i'd be able to drive it more because the wife and 15 month old son could come along you know right now I only basically drive the sy to work on really nice days which is a 4 mile hike lol

Im going to be meeting up with a this weekend sometime to check out his 87 hard top and so he could see my sy.. might work something out how knows
