Heard back from the company they have nothing that is similar....to make it...requires an order of mininum of 10,000 feet...unfortunately, at my age of 62 and how long it would take to move that many feet makes it a bad call.
not exist...

Life is all about numbers....and unfortunately not enough Buicks to justify that investment at least on my end.

well guys Im still working on the aluminum ones but I can tell you they will be more then 50 when done so if you guys can hang on a week or 2 longer and dont mind paying a little more I may be able to get this worked out.

The ones on ebay go for almost $50 shipped...how much more are u talking about? Just post some pics when done & please turn off the camera flash when taking them. I'll wait a little to see which one looks better...

Thanx 4 trying...

they will be polished aluminum Im hoping not much more then 50 but it depends on how much it cost to have them made and then polished. I asked if he could make 5 of them for me so if this 1st one turns out good Ill have him make 4 more.

Update...

Came up with a $8 solution  that looks great! Will post some pics later... :D

Almost $8 bucks with the double sided tape included...

Bought this @ a local paint store. They have a chrome molding roll from which they sell by the foot. It's actually thinner than the OEM trim, but with some thick doble sided tape it will sit flush with the dash & not inside the canal. My dash is completely stripped @ this time, cause I'm restoring everything that has to do with it :p . Took some pics with & w/o flash...

That looks GREAT! How hard was it to remove the dash to that point? I'd like to paint/dye mine a darker color.

That's why I stripped mine too. I removed everything including the metal frame. Drilled out the rivets, got it sand blasted, cause it was pretty rusted & powdercoated flat black. I'm buying the paint for the dash & glovebox (gotta have it blasted 1st, got some surface rust spots) tomorrow. About how hard to remove...it's easy! :p The hard part is putting it back together the way it was  Honestly speaking, I got a friend's car for future reference ;). It's should be really nice when done...

That is the same exact moulding that the eBay guy sells. I bought mine already, but do you have a brand name and part number for those that still need this trim?

Great detective work!

John, I think it's not the very same as the guy from ebay, it's not aluminum. it's a chrome molding. Its very thin & if used w/o a thick double-sided tape it will be too deep into the canal. The tape makes it sit flush with the dash like the stock one. Sorry but I have no pn to give as they sell this from a roll & by the foot.

Can you at least tell us the name of the parts store you bought it at? Is it a chain (Pep Boys, Advance) or a local parts shop?

Also, I think that guy on ebay is selling exactly what you bought, not aluminum. Which is why I don't want to pay $40 if I can find it for <$10.

It's neither chain or local parts store. It's a car paint/body store. Find one in your area & ask if the have any rolls of chrome molding. HTH.
