Hey guys, Im in the final stages of building my 109 block engine and realized that I dont have a front timing seal. the one in the cover is a part metal/part rubber seal. I bought what I thought was the right one but got the old one out and the new one doesnt fit. It goes in from the inside of the cover. Ive done some searches but have gotten mixed answers.

Is this what you are talking about?

If the link doesn't work, go to Kirbans, hit catalog, search for "seal."

make sure...........

you relieve the stake marks from the old seal, (the ones the factory put in to retain the original seal) it will make it difficult to install the new one other wise.
