OK, My horns don't work, so I verfied that they were present in the drivers side fender :). I took off the horn button and everything appears to be in order. My next logical step is to replace the horn relay, since it is cheap and frequently the cause of no horn sounding.

I did a search and the posts say that the horn relay is by the convienence center/fuse box. Alldata says that it is to the left of the convienence center/fuse box. I look everywhere under the dash and cannot find a relay anywhere near the fuse box.

Does anyone know for certain where it is on an '87 GN? It would also help if someone knew what color the wiring for the horn relay is, so I can track that pesky bugger down!

Thanks in advance for any light that you can shed on this subject. I got some horn honking to do- My middle finger is starting to get tired :D !

It's IN the convenience center box.

Left of the radio behind the instrument panel, below the VSS buffer and harness, mounted flat in it's own little spot.

Very hard to get at and I think you have to unbolt it to get it out.

Small self tapping screws I think hold the plastic box in place.

Has a large amount of wires on it, horn is 9-11.

Red power all the time from a fusible link A pin 9 from the C100 firewall connector down to the fusible links at the starter.

Black on pin 11 is the horn ring a ground which triggers the relay coil.

And pin 10 is the output a dark green wire, _+12 output, goes out to C100 big connector on the firewall to the horns, but if you have the alarm system it goes through that box first.
