Where to buy High output Stock locaton Intercooler?

I got one of the Thunder fabrication's stock location IC's. 22 row with a nice big neck! Thunder Fabrication Ordered it on a Friday was on my door step the following Wednesday!

IMO hands down this is the best stock location intercooler ever created for Turbo Buicks...the core that we use is flat out AMAZING on how it cools...not to mention the design and craftmanship that is in this intercooler...you won't be disappointed...we guarantee it!

Yeah those PTE units are very cool. Most definitely the best stock location IC out there. I plan to upgrade to it myself, since I'm using the CAS stretch version and its ok. I'm ready for something a little larger..

I have the PTE I/C. Great piece of engineering with perfect fit and finish. This I/C has almost no pressure drop. I was running 23 psi and installed the I/c and turned the boost down 4 Psi and it still ran 23psi. The turbo does not have to work as hard to make the same boost as on a stock I/C- less heat in the charge.... more power! This is having your cake and eating it too. Buy it...you will not be disappointed.

The other 2 guys out there have great pieces, but they usually never make it into customers hands in the time they say they will.

Original poster here, How much for PTE intercooler shipped to zip 19971, also can you tell me if if will fit stock car?

What about the shroud , does it extend further front?

IS reducer hose from stock 2"OD turbo outlet to your size inlet included?

JUST installed HOOKER 2.5" downpipe today, I coated it with THE new finnish line coatings CERAMIC TURBO-X blue , a glossy ford royal blue color high temp coating , also coated the 90 degree throtle body connect pipe.

The hooker system is an OFF road pipe with no provision for cat, I did not know that untill today, Ebay sellers do not tell all, but I plan to put4" OD round 12 " long Dynatech cat from JEGS on later.
I have an extra weld flange,

I was surprised that with no cat that the stock exhaust is not to much louder with 2.5" downpipe, I did not know that the stock downpipe necks down to 2.25" at the elbow, what a bummer, also that crossover has a short 2 " OD restriction at the drivers side header connection.

I had the stock intercooler taken off and cleaned and the tiny inlet neck ported out on the short side radius and overall about 2 mm off the inner wall. ALSO tried to line up intercooler and turbo for best match.

the intercooler is a DIRECT replacement of the factory intercooler...you have to put on a new bracket which utilizes a water pump bolt and spacer and the shroud fits over the front sway bar but the intercooler should come with good instructions and it's very easy to install...it doesn't matter what downpipe you have...also it comes with the correct hoses because you specify what turbo you have when you order...give us a call and we'll help ya out

GREENBACKS, MOO-LA, cabbage,bucks, greenstamps, Scratch, chunk of change,C notes, ect, ? HOW MUCH IS your intercooler with all the necessary components to hook up to a Stock 87 turbocharger with 2" od compressor outlet?

Would I want a larger inlet neck for future turbo upgrade?

What size is your inlet neck, ie 2.5" ID OR ??

2" ID TO 2.5" REDUCER HOSE IS included, as for the new bracket also

I think it works great. Seems to be a lot less back pressure.

Don, I have the 36mm 1LE camaro sway bar. My shroud has about two inches of clearence above the sway bar, but the bottom was rubbing on the sway bar and making an awful racket. I had to wedge a peice of rubber in between the shroud and swaybar. FYI if you guys want to make a change to future shrouds.

well the intercooler was designed to fit with stock GN parts...I will bring that point to attention here at the shop though...I know a lot of guys like to replace the factory front sway bar with an F-body style because of weight savings...hope the intercooler is working well for you! Go scare some rice for me
