Where to buy hood shocks?

The hood shocks on my GN are getting pretty weak, and barely hold open the hood. Can you buy these at Pep Boys or Autozone, or are they a GM-only part?

I replaced mine with shocks ordered from Kirbans Performance Products. Seem to be working well.

bought some from kirban many years ago and they were weak out of the box. got some from autozone for xmas and they are great!

if you have a credit card you should try and get them off the net like autozone.com or advance auto or something like that.

They're very common, any decent parts store will have them.

Yeah, Autozone has the shocks. I work for autozone currently. Go in and ask for Mighty - Lift shocks. They're around 15-25 dollars depending on your location. I think they're also lifetimne warranty, BUT the warranty is on the receipt and not actually entered into the computer. Don't know why they havent started getting the telephone numbers for those shocks yet, but it is on the ticket.
