Where to Find VIN #

Hi! I am thinking about purchasing an 86 Grand National with T-Tops and a digital dash. The car had been stolen and recovered, but the car now has a State issued ID Tag. Just wanted to know if there is anywhere I can Find it. The dash VIN is gone as well as the drivers door and RPO sticker, but i wanted to get alittle history on it.

I went ahead and bought it, It needs a few misc. things. I actually am going to make it a daily driver, it needs a paint, only 96k, and runs great.
