Which Brand of TPS sensor?

I ended up in the same boat for a while. Had a several years old AC Delco TPS and the dam thing wouldnt give me 4.6 at WOT without sacrificing my .42 - .46 idle adjustments. Tried the cheaper route by going to local autozones and advance autos.... none were giving me the numbers on the scanmaster i wanted... Finally said the heck with it and marched to a local Bumper to bumper store and bought an AC Delco for whatever $$ they wanted. Feeling smug i put it on... IAC was fine ...set TPS at .42 Idle.... But wouldnt get 4.6!!! Sooooo wanna play hardball eh? FINE! ordered Kirbans TPSTEC thingy... aaaand .... WOW! Not only did i get my 4.6 WOT back WITH my idle but the car did its old happy habit going sideways in 2nd gear with the MT 275 DRs on a quick down the block test run!! Could TPS sensor quality have gone THIS bad that i'd had to rely on an old electric gizmo? Im happier now... plus the little light thingy gets the ricers pointing lol

I ended up paying a premium at NAPA for an ECHLIN brand but it worked!

ECHLIN!!! Gawd diddly dammit! Forgot all about NAPA!! Theres even a Big one down the street from me! . Should have remembered NAPA more often carries the Good stuff! Had bought an ECHLIN coil pack back in 90' when the original had failed...that little boogar lasted til 2009!! Come to think of it... drove all the way down to a NAPA in Homestead because they had the only one left...and yes... its another ECHLIN! NAPA even had Autolite AR103 racing plugs on the shelf no one eles had. Cant wait to try them out!
