I am in the market for a new 9" non lock for TSM style car (slightly bigger turbo). This is for a 2004R tranny.

I am really leaning towards getting the ATI from Bill Anderson, but I know a bunch of people that have run the Art Carr with success and love it.

Any input on what converter to get? I will need a stall around 3500-3600, car is a limited driver with weekend strip duty.

I know I probably wont go wrong either way, I just don't know many running the ATI in a 200 so I wanted some opinions..

Thanks

Don't know about ATI, but i've had very good luck with my AC 9.5 lockup. Lots of hard launches, no problems. I know its not a non-lock, but should be the same build quality.

I would opt for a billet cover whatever way you go and most definitely if you have a brake in it. Art Carr part number 19930 is the 9' with a billet cover.

Hey Bison,

Thanks... The car will have a Tranny brake installed.

Looks like the Art Carr is a billet cover, and the ATI is a unique casting that they machine.

They are about the same price.. I am sure either will work fine. Right now I am sort of leaning towards the ATI...

Thanks
