I do not understand the JARGON ON THESE GT turbos, and are there some with 3 bolt flange, or are that all 4 bolt and you have to modify the height of the down pipe and the intercooler inlet?

also, four bolt headers , will they equal every thing out, probably not, discharge flange probably not the same on turbo as stock and may need external waste gate??

GT jitters, blackhawk 38:)

PS, what does the last two digits stand for as in GT 3255>> FIFTY FIVE ? IS THIS THE COMPRESSOR TRIM ?

The new GT nomenclature is much better then before. Once you learn the chart, its very easy to read.

Does the GT come in 3 bolt turbine inlet, buick 3 inch center to center bolts on a 3.5 " bolt circle, >3.464 square root of 3" ,> 1.732"X 2 = 3.464">= close enough to call 3.5"

I know that these GT series are realivity new to the turbo buick enthusiusts, I have enough trouble trying to make sense out of the older existing turbo Jargon. such as wheel trim, surge line, compressor A/R, Turbine A/R, ect. and converting LBS per minute of air flow to CFM @ at some density, ie , barometric pressure and temperature.

I will check out those sites, Thanks

Direct from Garrett, not they don't come with a 3 bolt housing. PTE though does adapt the different housings to some of the GT units.

Precision makes 3 bolt housings for the non ball bearing turbos. The ball bearing turbos do not as of yet have a 3 bolt housing.

Supposedly, Garrett is coming up with ball bearing center sections for the regular TR turbos. Do not hold your breath on that one though.
