which one should i buy? i have a chance to score a pt-64 for a good price, but figure it will be too big for my combo.

it looks like the pt-61 is a great turbo more suited to me.

combo is as follows: 009 inj
.020 over 109 with girdle
ported irons
204/214 cam
3" downpipe w/atr ext gate
champion intake
70mm throttle body
3200 vigilante l/u converter
3.43 gear

car is primarily a street car with occasional track visits.
i want a fast street car with good drivability.

thanks, for any help

the 64 is too much turbo for those injectors...not to mention it's not as responsive and you MIGHT be sacrificing 50 horsepower going with a 61...I would do the 61 but then again I am biased towards it:)

what is the best price out there for a pt-61 ?
i already have an atr ext gate, so i don't need the actuator.

will the 61 work good with the stall i have and the injectors?
just want to have fun on the street this year and be happy.

how far will the 61 take me?(1/4 mile)

thanks, steve

we sell this turbo for $675...it would be perfect with 50 lb injectors which we are currently running a special on for $300 a set of 6 (normally $399)

this turbo is good for high 10's with a good heads and cam combo or mid to low 11's on a untouched motor

I believe the PT61 is rated for 630 hp and the TE44 is 580. It doesn't seem like a big step up, but power curves and efficiency could make a big difference even though 2 turbos put out the same or similar max hp.

I was in a GN that had a tA49 first then a GT3255 without any other changes. It felt totally differen't with the GT turbo. I wish we could have dynoed a before and after. I'm sure the curve was different for the GT32.
