Ultimate Fighter....


Watched the contender, and didn't like the editing of it... The freeze frame and slow-mo stuff in mid-punch was irritating to me. That and it seemed like too much manufactured excitement in the audience.

Maybe I am tainted with almost 10 years of hap ki do and just over 8 months straight mauy thai kickboxing. It seems that the contestants in both shows are anything but contenders. They definatly lack alot in the training and cordination.
I would side with the Ultimate fighter because of the ability to use many styles of fighting. If you try to go into a ring brought up as a single style boxer you are going to be crushed by someone with leg and grappling training on top of boxing skills.
It's a real struggle for me to watch however as 3 diffrent people are yelling at 1 person while they are fighting all saying diffrent things. Its has to be almost impossible to listen to someone when you are getting punched in the head.
If they would make a show on our swat and elite forces training that would be a hell of a show. You are capable of things far beyond your comprehension if you can put aside all fear and judgement in a situation.

Yeah so far I think the ultimate fighter is better.

I taped the contender for my son & in one of the rounds I thought for a quick second I saw no audience. will have to go back & check it.
