I just finished installing a turbo 400 that I got from an older station wagon and had rebuilt. While I was at it I grabbed the driveline that came with it (at first just for the yoke).

All I have left is to have my driveline shortened to fit.

My question is do I use my original driveline and go to an adapter u-joint (half original size & half larger turbo 400 size) to attach the turbo 400 yoke. Or is there a way to use the larger drivleine and change the pinion yoke to fit.

Thanks in advance for the help.

many that have done the swap have shortened their stock driveshafts. Both mine and my buddies use the stock lenght drive shaft. I had to get the yoke shortened though, but it was a very long one. You may or maynot wanna do this. There are several yokes available. One is the one u mentioned. You have to use a adapter joint. There is one other one that has the same style u joint ends as the stocker. Then there are variations on lenghts and such.

I u decide to use the stock TR shaft let me know i have the adapter joint box somewhere and can get u the part number.

Good Luck

Thanks for the input. If you hapen to come across that part number I wouldn't mind having it. But I am sure any driveline shop will know which one to use also.

Thanks again,

Keith
