Hey guys i just installed my new rjc fmic and I have a whistle sound at idle. I checked all clamps with soap and water and cant find any leaks. Sounds like its coming from tb the car runs great. Is this sound normal with fmic?

IC itself shouldn't make any sounds. More than likely your throttle plate shaft seals.

ic

:confused:why would they start after intercooler install it did not do it with stock ic

I don't notice any weird sound at idle with my car and it has the RJC FMIC on it. If you checked it with soapy water it won't blow bubbles unless you are in boost. Habor Freight sells the thing that looks like a stethascope that should help you pin point your sound. Let us know what you find, good luck.

just curious did yours come with instructions? i got one but not installed it yet...i did not see any instructions on how to mount it... thanks

Just a thought, some of the clamps that come with these intercoolers are quite industrious and you really can tighten them ALOT. Do you think the one that clamps to the TB could have distorted it causing it to leak from the throttle shaft. I read a post on here once where it said to be careful of this because you could overtighten it causing the butterfly to rub on the inside of the TB or even cracking the TB. Good luck:)
