Dyno'd the car today, and the guys running the dyno said these small white chunks came out of my exhaust while I was running. They showed me one, and it looked just like a rock. What the hell is that? Could it be the packing in my ATR muffler? It doesn't look like anything that would come out of a motor, and my muffler seems louder now. Is that even possible? Anyone heard of this before?

Do you have a Cat Convertor? If so it might be the Catylist inside might be breaking apart.

Precisely the rationale for asking whether the object "felt" like a rock...if the answer is "YES", it sounds like a CC disintegrating.

HTH :)

No convertor on my car. It was a white little rock, kinda smelled like sulfur. It felt like a rock. Wierd

Maybe you took off a crumbling cat with the existing mufflers and now the mufflers are letting it go.

justa thought.

The convertor has been gone for a long time, and I've changed the exhaust since then. Trust me, its not from a catalytic convertor.

Sam, I have rocks flying out of my exhaust all the time:D . My guess is small rocks or debris sitting on underside areas of the car (ie. lower rear quarter lip, frame rail, etc.), that bounced off during the dyno blast. Otherwise someone must have bionic eyesight to see it fly out of the exhaust pipe tip.
