I heard through the grape vine that they have a nasty TSM car that will be running at the BG Nats.... Any truth to this?

Please fill me in:)

TTT

Scott Simpson, did you hear anything about them running in TSM or maybe one of their customers??

I have not heard this but Dave"Top Gun" Bamford is the man to beat so far. Dave's car is really powerful.

I heard about this last year at the Nationals. If I jumped everytime said they were building a "killer TSM car", there would be a field of 32 cars running in the nines. :) Experience has shown me that this is not always true. However, the "news" about Dave Bamford's car did turn out to be true...and Garcia did run 10.0s down at the Bradenton event.

Don't discount anyone!

Thanks for clearing that up Scott.... Should be a good year for the TSM class!

Well I just read an email from Dave Bamford and it appears that White Racing does have a customer with a very fast stock block car, but it is far from being TSM legal.... It would be the perfect car for an "Outlaw 109" class though;):D

I'm the man to beat. I bought Tim Stockwell's old motor and will run it at 75 PSI on nitro...

:D

Sounds like a nice setup, but I don't think it is TSM legal:eek: ;) :D

Although there is no psi limit in TSM;) you can only run gasoline. As I did last year, anyone with alcohol injection will be required to physically remove the hose from the uppipe in order to compete. Plugging the uppipe is the driver's problem.

Anyone running up to the starting line to add "fuel" at the last second ala' D'Allesandro will be DQ'd.

TSM CARS

I hope they are checking what kind of heads people are running?

Maybe checking with a magnet for GN1'S looking like IRON'S?

How bout just emptying the alky bottle? How am I supposed to fill the hole in the uppipe?

Go down to the swap meet and buy a stock uppipe for $5 bucks..

Problem solved...

Just curious, but how can you check to make sure everyone is running gasoline?

How about an AN Fitting End Cap.
If you can screw your line on to what ever is in the up pipe
you can cap it off the same way.

Is this the same car that ran TSM at the last event but is supposed to run quick 16 at the nats as stated on a previous post? ;)

Buy a threaded plug at NAPA for $0.50

Any alternate injection is disallowed. I've already pointed out the alccohol injection rule. "Prope" evaporates really quickly. That's why peole dump it in within a minute of running.

If someone were running nitro or an ethylene based fuel...it sure the hell would smell funny wouldn't it? ;)

I believe youare referring to Mike Bamford's car at last year's Nationals. I believe it had a 76 turbo and went 10.04 with a stock block. But don't quote me. :D ;) :D ;)
