Looks like we just made the 75 car cut off. That should mean lots of passes. When and where's everyone going to park? I've got someone bringing my VW camper bus with a fridge and sodas. I'll also have a EZ-up and a BBQ going at lunch time. I should have some space left on the grill, if any one wants to bring any thing. Today I'm removeing the front sway bar, and installing 90/10 drag shocks. A week ago, I got a 1.61 60ft at Irwindale. Hopeing to better that and maybe get a pic of the wheels off the ground:eek: . I can't remember ever seeing a picture of one of these cars in the air with the stock steel rims. How's the track prep at these events? Will they let me run with my lap top on the passenger seat (or floor)?

Mike

Hey mike I will be out there also I was thinging of cold pizza but bbq sounds muck better. I will take air tank, heavy jack,4 seats,4 barrles of C16 if eny one needs eny of this your welcome to use except the C16.

Gary, You still going? If you are, Nordy payed for a run spot that he's not going to (or is too sceeeered:biggrin: ) use. Maybe you guys could work something out. Nordy, unless I can get Austin Coil to show up, the position of tech support / crue chief is still open. It's a paying position.

Lunch  ...

Sweet

Mike, since your not running your car, can I use your roll bar:) ?
I guess I could get one of those fake (monkey bars) ricer bars.
Any word on Mr. Wells going? Hey Gary, You saveing your self for the Dounut shop.

See everyone there. Any one bringing a camera? I've got food and sodas. Should be fun. Hope they prep the track.

30% chance I might go. I'm picking up the motor tomorrow and should have everything running by Mon. I'll be working on it most of tomorrow and early Sat. morning. So I'll try and make it out around noon.

I'll be there with some old school muscle beating up on those "pesky" GNs.

it was a GREAT DAY.. two 9s runs (9.76 and another 9.65) with a oil leak and coil pack problem.. MIKE, Awesome run today (thanks for the food and drinks), and Rafael same with you, nice runs... Jeff, that turbo is BIG :), Reggie and Rick, thanks for the help.. all in all, a good day :)

Got to do this again.

Yep, a great day. My car went down the 1320 ten times. I ran a personal best: 11.17 @ 120.24. This was with a 1.503 60 ft, on DRs, and 91 oct / alky. I'm stoked:D . the lanes were prity much wide open all day long. Track prep was good, and only one oil down that I saw. I better go to bed now. Going to try and make it to the donut shop tomorrow.

Happy spooling...
Mike Barnard

Mike:
Sorry, Mike, I forgot all about this being so soon, I thought that it was a ways down the road, & they probably wouldn't have given me time off of work anyway. Yep, saving myself for the Donut shop, I guess. Sounds like i missed a good turboBuick event. Glad that you all had a good time, though. Maybe next time, and I am still hoping for WCN.

The south western section should pick out one of these private event days and have a big Buick turnout (maybe we can some AZ. cars out to Fontana). The track was well preped, the tech was easy and you could get as my runs as you want. I think the track officials really like seeing our cars run and I am sure they would accommodate us by providing our own lanes if we had enough participation. Since it fills up quickly and participants have the option of signing up as many cars as they want, you could organize and have a designated sign up person.

Get the XFI to log correctly?

Get the XFI to log correctly?
Scott,
I did not mess with the oil and fuel data log but everything else worked well. I took it easy yesterday because of the new setup and I have some clearance issues with the 29.5x10.5 tires. They rub on the front part of the wheel well (behind the doors) when the tires expand during the run. Cal said the 4276 wakes up between 30-35 lbs of boost; that is a whole new mind set for me because I never went over 28 (yesterday 26.8). I going to try to reinstall the distributor this weekend, so I will keep you updated.
