With all that gunk going through the engine, and how detail oriented Jerryl seems to be, I would imagine he'll completely tear down the motor, (as he should) the trans, the brakes, the rear end and entire electrical system when he's at it. :D

Seriously, I'm so sorry for the bullshit you're having to deal with here, just trying to add a little levity to a shitty situation. I wish the best for you and the car.

I'm certainly in for a donation of money or parts if a fund is created.
Holy sh** I'm just now seeing this thread. WTH???????? Jerryl I would shoot the bastard for you! You know I don't play!
Its hard to read

What oil did you use at last change? Is it possible someone tampered with the oil before you poured it in? If it was an oil change place, maybe someone was pissed at them and contaminated a 55 gallon drum of oil.

Seems to me this vandalism happened at the time the oil was put in the motor. Some clown filled a quart bottle with syrup or honey and put it back on the shelf.

I know pure maple syrup will granularize over time (like honey does). Not sure if is would if it was heated for a period of time. It may because when it come out of the tree its thin. It is cooked down before it is sold. Might be something to experiment with.

Disclaimer - this may have been discussed but I was to heartbroken to read the middle 4 pages of the thread.

Best wishes jerryl.

I know Jerryl won't post this and he will never ask for our help. However, best case scenario he's out a minimum of $2,000 (his deduction for vandalism is $2,000)!!! And even then it's highly doubtful that the insurance company will give him close to what it will cost for his motor? But, that is speculation on my part.

Either way, that $2,000 vandalism deductible is higher than giraffe pu$$y and much harder to hit too!!

So please be ready folks to come to a brothas aid! As it looks like we'll need to set up a go fund me account to help our boy out??

Dam man.... sorry this happened. Its majorly F'd up and hope the insurance covers it. Just a dam plain shame!!!

This thread scares the hell out of me. I am like Jerryl and have only put 1300 miles on my car in 13 years. I am ALWAYS with it EXCEPT for a few weeks ago my nephew asked me to bring it to a small car/motorcycle/surfboard show. I did and left it with the hood and trunk open for over an hour. Nothing happened to it except for the typical kids fingerprints, but after seeing what was done to Jerryl I will never leave it again.

Sorry for what happened to you Jerryl. if it did not happen at the show then it happened when the hood was open or when someone had access to the car and its keys.

Sodium silicate looks a lot like sugar, its what was used to quickly disable a cars engine when they ran the cash for clunkers programs.

You were defintly screwed over, by whom or where you may never find out but don't rule out the sodium silicate, that's where my money is.

I think in an earlier post they said it was sugar. They tasted it or tested it or something.

Regardless, I hope whoever did it dies in a fire. This is a mans car. Never mess with another mans car.

Guys, Thanks for the feedback and support. Have been busy with work and life, among a few other things.
Hope to be able to respond with some facts and opinions towards the end of next week.
