My cars are usually female. They are tempermental, only give subtle hints but never tell you anything outright, and take all my money. Currently the GN, is a garage queen and does not even see water (no rain- nothing) She's my piggy or sometimes called the battle cruiser "the boss" calls her the money pit.

The latest TR is out in the rain as I type. She's called "the bucket" because of some small rust issues we're working on. However, she's a mean SOB. Since she belongs"the boss" (ie: the other half), she states that it's a bucket all right- a bucket of whoop a$$!!!

Other than those names, I try not to swear at the cars, they seem to dislike that and usually respond better when I talk nicely- and show them my wallet :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

Haha, I just petted the dash of my GN yesterday and told it everything would be ok. Then I dropped it off at the paint shop to get stripped.

let me tell ya what i did a few years back

i was on the way home one night & met up with a nice sounding stang, i spanked it stop light to stop light 4 times, when i got home & put the GN in the garage, i was so happy i told my GN : "thanks for kickin that ass" , i then bent over and kissed my GN on the hood. one time i talked to my GN was at the 2001 west coast nationals when i told it "we didnt come here to lose", somehow "we" won our class (13.50 & up).

I've never named any of my cars, but I have cursed at all of them at one time or another and I have also pleaded and begged with my cars hoping they'd listen.

I haven't named mine, but my mom calls mine & my dad's "Black Beauties". In the past year me & my car have been on the outs . She just doesn't want to go out anymore. :frown:

I always talk to my cars, for example you *%^king piece of #@*t, I swear I will push out out of the garage & set you a blaze you %^&k sucking mother#@$%ing pile of %^$t. then everything goes right & then the car makes a good clean pass. :biggrin:

My ex-father in law who has been a mechanic all his life (and taught me everything I know about cars) always said you have to swear at your cars to get them to work. Some of the words he put together while in the garage didn't even make sense! Try it the next time the last bolt you are trying to turn won't come loose, I bet you will be surprised!

I had an all wheel drive town and country named Bertha. My kids even made up a song for her.They were upset the day she left. That van would go anywhere. I even tried to get it stuck in anything I could find with no luck. Boy I miss that van!
