>>>Artie,
You can run the S2 heads, so let's bring your car out to run TSO and see if we can find it's breaking point. I mean at 9.60 we haven't found it yet, plus it will be good advertising for your business Arties Custom Welding and Fabrication:cool:

76 turbo at 3675 lbs race weight's got no place in TSO. My car conforms to all the rules without any penalties.

Art.

Art both our cars need to go on a diet,But i dont race to win,I race for the fun of it.The payouts at these races are never large enough to recoupe any real money invested anyway.
Put a bigger turbo on it, Tony Gomes car i believe weighs more than yours and he is one of the fastest,Still with functioning A/C!

BPG pays out $1000 to the winner and $500 to 2nd. We are trying to raise more money and sponsorship for a points series and other races but it seems to be stalling at this point as few if anybody can agree on anything.

The first set of rules you posted from Cotton's site were a rough draft of a set of rules we were working on for the points series. The second set is for the TSO race at the GSCA Nats.

fastest tso car

Chris, the bgp payout for tso what is the car count for them to pay that amount,? gsca nats, pays 400.00 1st place and 200.00 for 2 nd and 100.00 for third, q-16 pays 750.00 to win and 350.00 for 2nd, it cost me 295.00 for me and pit crew of two enter the nats, plus 400.00 motel plus fuel and if we dont break anything, so if you luck out and win you are still in the hole, but man its fun, and when you get my age ever race may be your last so try to make it your best, but what the h--- its only money good luck, oc

My exact setinments Odell, You enter to win this race for some notoriety if anything, Hell even 1000 bucks wont cover my expenses for a 3 day race

That's funny poop! If I could be guaranteed to draw you in first round I would run TSO. I figure at 20 points per round and another 20 for qualifying I could do pretty well even if I would be the Rhonda Hartman Smith of the second round.

Otto I'm sure with your new turbo and suspension you'll do quite well this year.

Hey I'm game to run TSO what the hell I got nothing to lose and who knows when I get knocked out early enough maybe I can get back in lanes for the Q16:D

Of course there's always beer after the races are over

Considering what it cost to build one of these cars I somehow doubt $$ is a motivating force for most.

$1000 is a nice prize for any race. The BPG Q16 payout was $2500 and this year we'll be able to run Q16 on Sunday and TSO on Sat night.

Now if we had a series of races, with a championship $$, and contigency $$, Hmmmm.

BPG would like 10 cars to pay the full amount. They still paid $750 and $300 plus some contigency prizes and $$ from vendors. It was a nice race and nice to win something even for 2nd. I'm really looking forward to it again this year.

What's the racing schedule for BPG? I thought I remember reading that Friday was a car show and racing was only at night because it's in August. Is that correct, just wondering what time racing starts and on which day.

Thanks,
Art.

Hi all

I figured since we are less than three months away from Bowling Green we could get a head count for TSO. I think this year the class will have the most participents of any other year :)
