just out of curiosity, what is the fastest (1/8 mile times please) street driven buick out there. not daily driver , just a toy..............we had a couple show up at our local track and ran some high 5 sec 1/8 mile passes and they seemed pretty streetable :biggrin: very interested in your answers. thanks in advance

I know it has a chevy v8 with a large turbo, but i belive Dusty Bradford has been running 5.25 at 134 or 138mph... Full weight regal, do a search for dusty, damn good running car.

see this is what is so great about these cars. i had a low 7 sec GN i just sold last week and have a mid 5 sec 69 camaro but it is no fun to drive on the street at all. i still got the buick thing in the back of my head

IMO, all the times above are 100% possible while maintaining A/C..

Tony Gomes has been 5.30 or so on radials and I'm sure his car still has a/c. The only one that fast with a/c that I know of.....

Not sure. It's very crowded with the box and all still on the firewall. Just looking at how cramped it is I assumed the compressor and all is still on the car. I have a picture of it on my work computer but won't be back there until tomorrow night.

Well depends on what ya call functioning my ac line broke off and I lost the charge so yes its not functioning but it does blow hot air
car has been 5.27 in the 1/8 138+ on radials it weighs 3560

We all talked about it in BG. I know Tony and Fiscus are planning on coming. I want to but will have to see how the money situation looks then. I know I have to swap cam and springs before I can get into the 170+ range. Both are too small for 1/4 mile racing.
I'm coming to watch anyway. A local guy just finished his SB2 headed SBC with a 106 in his Monte SS. On it's 4th pass it went 5.49 at 130 on 13.3 # of boost. Leaving at 3600rpm and 3#

Cool, I will be there all four days(thursday for the cruise) watching, on the tail end of my honeymoon.
