Who raced the GTR on Woodward at the Dream Cruise?

I seen that video on Youtube with the group of GTR's on Woodward I think 2 years ago, and the GN lined up with one and raced him. Always wondered what the result was. Anyone here know by chance?

Looks to me like the GT-R pulled on the GN in the top end. That being said, I think they stayed in it a bit long for a street race.

Yea, looks like the GTR either got 'em in the end, or the Buick lifted. Either way, I was there, just not for that very second. I was still pulling out into Woodward. Had that GTR waited a second or two, there would have been about ten more Buicks pulling out of the Moose Preserve that would have eaten that Nissan for lunch. Though, for some odd reason, when there's about 20 of us all cruising together during those time frames, noone wants to race us. I've paralleled Porsches, Lambos, Vettes (they never race) and Ferarris, and not a one race. It sucks.

For the most part nobody messes with TR's anymore. 10-15 years ago everyone and their brother wanted to race me. Now I get thunbs up.

I think it's the reputation and respect over the years our TR's have earned is why most don't wanna play with us.
There's a few that might bite, but by and large most won't test their luck if they see a TR. I think the fact you can't tell by just looking and being at a stop light just how fast our TR's might be, there's a pondering of do they dare find out or do they leave us alone wondering what might happen if they tried.
These cars after all do have something evil that's trying to get out of them, think our cars can smell fear sometimes.

It doesn't help with all these youtube videos out there showing many crazy fast runs of our cars that some owners have on there.

Yea and add to the fact some of us have some ridiculously loud exhaust, which further scares people. I've had my fair share of encounters with cars that were probably faster than me (like a 2012-2013 m6 that didn't bite, slowed down and caught up and passed him and nothing) and no one wanted any. It's boggling though that there are quite a few car people who don't know what a TR is. I have found a few (mostly people of my age).

It's like they notice the hood buldge and even without a rediculous loud exhaust, they hear the deep throaty idle coming out of the dual mufflers that they think we got something insanely evil under the hood. It's not our fault that they sound similar to a healthy small block when idling. Sometimes it would be nice if some would play, but i guess our lil v6's just scare the bejesus out of some people.

No shit. Had a new Challenger two days ago and an 03 built Mustang GT this morning which sounded fantastic (clearly the best sounding car on the road imho) line me up, but failed to do anything. It sucks. I mind as well sell this for a Civic... It's a 3700 pound paper weight... Alllllll the money these fools spend for these dumb ass cars, and no one runs 'em. WTF?? WHY DID YOU BUY THAT 60,000 DOLLAR SRT FOR IF YOU'RE JUST GOING TO CRUISE THAT BITCH LIKE AN OLD MAN!!! It really frustrates me. RUN THAT BITCH!!!!! RUN IT!!!! lol.
