Hey Guys,
I was having a talk earlier about my new stroker engine combo and the supporting items. The subject came up of...Where is the BIG PTE Stock location intercooler finished at? Mid10's...Low10's...High9's???
I would like to know if it is going to be a bottle-neck in my goal to have a mid/low10 street car.
I've never seen another post asking this, so lets hear it.

Thanks
Coach

Yep! Joe Lubrant ran one years back when they first came out. His car was high nines without a doubt,

My street GN runs low 10s - high 9s all day with one. It's a really efficient unit - only downside is the scoop is low to the ground.

Thanks. I already got the unit, but I am building a big time stroker and was wondering if I could run the PTE or go with a front mount. I like the SLIC for a street car vs. the front mounts in front of the radiator. Plus its and expense already out of the way.

Thank you.

I am not sure if it was a PTE, but Grumpy was running a SLIC on Melissa's pump gas street GN and it went high 9's years ago..... without some of the bells and whistles that there is available today.......

edit..... seems like it might have been a CAS V4..... FWIW, IMHO the PTE unit has been elevated to what most would consider "the best" of the SLIC as far as I can tell.

Thanks everyone,
Im hearing what I wanted to hear. I didnt want to be borderline on whether or not I was asking too much of the intercooler. I stepped up to a 3.5 downpipe and aftermarket headers to go along with the combo. My turbo is a little on the small, side for the engine it will be on, but its mostly a street car.

:D
