I drove my T Type today to get lunch, and I realized how much this thang really kicks ass. I have only had it for about 2 months now, and never really got on it on the street because I do not have faith in the SMC alcohol kit, and pump gas. It is not that the SMC product is bad, I just am new to it, and am clueless about it. Last night, I emptied the tank and filled it with 7 gallons of Sunoco 110. I had the boost set at 22 psi on the TE 44 turbo, and off I went. I cruised around a bit, but never let into it. Today, when I was coming home from lunch, I decided to floor it from about a 35 mph roll. The boost rocketeted to 22 psi, and I felt acceleration unlike any other car I have been in:eek:. I am officialy hooked on the Turbo Buick:D

Good to hear!

The reason I love my Buick: It passed emissions... unlike my SS. :(

Hope you have a scan tool and the required gauges to save a rebuild. I bought mine new in 87 and still have the same feeling.
Good luck:cool:

Had a problem many years ago with an SS not passing emissions. After many attempts at tinkering with the darn quadrajunk I made a very bold and successful move. Put TPI on it. Fast-passes EVERY time now. :)

I've been away from my car for quite some time now, and after being back a week, I took it out the other night and finally layed into it some (not floored, not yet). That whoosh is SURE something to miss and love. Granted, my car has all sorts or rattles and creaks to remind me that I have a ton of work to do.. but doesn't take away for an instant how much one can fall for these things.

Enjoy.

I hear ya oehm...
I've had mine since 88 and I'll never grow tired of the feeling
I get when I stab the pedal, especially with 110 in the tank.
It's a pure adrenaline rush unmatched by anything I've ever
driven, these cars are truly amazing!
