Before I put in a shift kit I had no problems....the fluid was at the same level before the shift kit install as it was afterwards. I put in a transgo shift kit (big mistake) would rather it stay stock. The car has 39k miles on it. I drove car for about 1 hour with no problems, then all of a sudden, just starts spraying trans fluid out under car and all over rear fascia......Had just gotten back in car 7miles earlier and rear of car was clean......then stopped for gas,,,rear of car coated, real bad....basically lost over a quart in 7 miles.....was just normal highway driving, no WOT....trailered car home. PUt on jackstands, level, put car in gear and after a while, basically after car got up to speed in OD...fluid started pouring out of vent tube on trans.....I ordered the CK Performance shift kit,,,,didn't like the way the transgo shifted...transgo had some different orings , new ones for the 2nd and 4th accumulator piston..had to force those pistons into bores with new orings on them....way too tight....called transgo about that, they said continue that it was normal....I thought about putting the stock orings back in but didnt (big mistake) car shifted into OD like a mack truck ramming me!!! Put in the CK shift kit...shifts about like I want it to...but after driving for around 4-5 miles....some was WOT, I am seeing trans fluid on the rear bumper again.......What could cause the fluid to be coming out of the vent tube??? The fluid level is exactly where it was before I ever messed with trans...I drove car hard then, and never had any type of fluid leak. What has changed? I'm tired of dropping the pan and messing with it.
thanks, damon carter

usually fluid coming out the vent at wide open throttle is caused by overheating of transmission oil,a restricted cooler,a bad stator support, overfull trans picking up oil in the gearset and causing foaming,a crossleak in the pump causing oil to exit the vent,hi line pressure being exhausted by the relief valve, misaligned pump gasket,or a blocked or patially restricted vent tube.what is different about WOT than just cruising?we are running maximum line for a given selector position, and rotational speed of parts is at its greatest.this may explain some of the above symptoms.anyone else have this before with a different source of origin?

I met guy the other day with the same problem, he even had something under the car to catch the oil, 2 known tranny guys (1 being the guy who built it) told him this was normal! I told him some one may not want to honor fixing this because if the fluid level is no high or overheating this is NOT normal by any means.
