I checked the inlet bell on my intercooler and it is spotless. Not one small speck of oil or grime. But my intercooler and throttle body has oil.

I am think maybe it is the pvc valve, but i changed that like 7 months ago with an AC delco unit. I guess i can change it again.
When i floor the car there is a ploom of smoke, the same thing happens when i start the car in the morning. It smells like oil, i think the smoke is bluish.

My valve breathers have left my valve covers greasy also. Someone told me its blow by. This is one reason i can never get a perfect idle.

Changing the PCV valve would be a quick and easy test, but I don't think that is it.

Turbo seals could explain the oil in the intake tract and the smoke at start-up and WOT, but I don't think that is it either.

The oil through the breathers and on the valve covers suggets it is time for a compression check. It doesn't take very long to test, plus you can eye ball the plugs at the same time.

Don't worry too much about the individual readings (there are a lot of variables), you are looking for no more than a 10-20 psi variation between the cylinders.

That oil in the intercooler is significantly reducing it's efficiency.

Thanx alot.:)

i recently changed the sparkplugs and wires. the original spark plugs were bone dry, and a whitish grey if i recall correctly.

Anywayz, when i checked pictures for a normal burn on
spark plugs, it checked out.

Yes, it is time for a compression test i guess (car has 70,000 miles).

Thanx again for your recomendation.
