Once upon a time, I was tearing down a little 4 banger engine that'd kicked the rods out, on a missed shift going into 4th.

As I was taking the headbolts off, the front half of the block, crank, etc., fell on the floor. Now don't think that ain't an attention getter....
 
Read about that right after it happened....

This engine was tuned by someone messing with the source code on the factory ecm:)

*Messing* with any code, can cause huge piles of scrap metal.

At least with the factory ecms, you can reverse engineer the code, and get it right, unlike the aftermarket stuff, where you're locked into running only what they want you too.
