The wife total up what i have spent in the GN since i purchased it, and said i have spent a average of a $150 a week. I needed a fuel pump this week, and she said you can get it, but you got to put that Black $itch on the corner, and make her make some money! So i plan on taking on anyone that think they can run me! My only rule is i dont run GNs, so send any one my way that want's to play for cash!:biggrin: Think i will try my luck at Jackson Speedway (House of Hook).

I've lost more Girl friends because of what I do and I'm just a lowly mechanic for Gods sake. I had a girl in Krogers walk up to me while I was going though the magazine section with a low rider in my hands and she called me a pig. When I showed her what I was reading on supension mods she turned red and said "You really do read it for the articles". I just looked at her and said "You're cute and stupid. I do this for a living". Nuf said.

Cause of lowrider thats of i had a girl say she couldnt date me cause i had dirt under my fingernails I just thought thats ok we will see who laughs last when she pays $900 to get her brake pads and rotors changed at tuffy and thats with a 10% discount you should have told her to kiss your entire azz

My Gn made Me A $1000.00 bucks today first time I've ever street raced it.. Raced a New Ford Gt 500.

Not gonna lie I was nervous. not about losing but breaking something. I turned the boost all the way up.. maxed out @ 26 with No knock..

Kicked his A@@ tho & it was worth it after we raced he wanted to see my motor. I replied with NO WAY !! maybe when you beat me I'll let you see it.

I drove all the way home with my music off trying to see if my car sounded diff. but it didnt everything was fine..

Aww man i wish i could have seen that i was in sacramento today too at like 2pm Im rollin home i just passed the bonneville salt flats

Agreed. Same goes for smallblockposse. 1Chance based on your sig you have a mid 11 car on a decent tune. Maybe a low 11 on a more aggressive tune and high 10 beating the balls off it. You better have a solid 8 sec ride or you will get beat so bad you probably cant imagine it. Plan on racing Malibu's that weigh no more than 2800 lbs that have large ci aluminum engines in them. On another note all the guys who talk about what their wife thinks about their hobbies i hope your not very serious. It is a luxury to be able to drive one of these cars at all or have any hobby that requires a lot of spending. If you have money to burn then who gives a f uck what you spent it on. My wife doesnt even know my income and she probably doesnt care too much either. If i spend $20k a year on racing then it is what it is. I dont owe anything so anything extra i have im free to do with it whatever i please. Ive seen instances where a spouse has complained about their sig (or insig:biggrin: ) others hobbies yet they have about $10k in shoes sitting in their closets collecting dust. Or they play video games for 4 hrs./day Or they get manicure/pedicure every week or some other non tangiable BS. Yet their spouse earns 2-3x their income. Be certain i am not siting women here since i know guys who are much worse spenders than women. If you earn it and its above and beyond your normal living expenses then its yours to do whatever you want with. If your causing financial hardship then you cant afford it and shame on you. 1Chance post up pics of the wife. We will be able to tell you who will do better on the corner. lol. If you ever come near CT i know of 2 heavier (over 3000lbs) and smaller than 400 ci cars with single 4bbl non dominator carbs and no nitrous that will race you anytime.

Just reading all of this, funny, but it has happened to me when I had boyfriends before I was married. I feel guys are also as bad because when I was dating guys loved the idea at first, but as time went on,en they did not like it at all because I was so into cars and helping to work on them. Glad I "caught" my husband, he puts up with a lot and my car addiction, but come to think of it, we both are addicted.

BTW, Christine is a GREAT Classic. Everyone should rent it. Just my .2

My wife bitches at me for spending allot of time out in the shop... my reply is "If I don't work on the car I can find other thing to do with my time and money, I'm sure you would like those a whole lot less"... She is starting to come around with the car though, she like riding in the GN with the T-Tops down as long as I'm driving like "a normal person"...
