I need new front tires, I want to put a set of Drag radials on the rear of the car and move the rears to the front as they are brand new. Will a P245/50/16 fit in the front and not rub? It currently has P225/55/16s in the front. Thanks.

I think so

Hi,

I think they will, however, when I bought my car, it had 245/60/16 on the front and they rubbed (oddly enough moreso on the pass side) This in turn rubbed a hole in the inner fenderwell and let water get to into the wiring harness which let the car not run at all. Ultimately, I had to change the whole engine harness.

Just a heads up.

Bill

We have 245/50-16's on the front of both the T-Type & Monte. The tires will rub slightly at full lock but it's no big deal. And both cars have been lowered a bit.

HTH.

i had those size tires on my front GNX rims and they rubbed like crazy when trying to make sharp turns...they came with the rims anyways and i went to the big little look with 265's in the back and 225's up front...no rubbing whatsoever anymore

well i have the GNX wheels

fronts rub alot and i have the 245's up there... any sharp turn for me and rub-a-dub-dub they are rubbing alot

on the back i have 255's and they rub alot also... on the inside of the frame!!

spacers help this at all!?? if so what size?

My GN has 245/50X16's on the front and only in a full-lock turn does it rub. These are Continental brand tires and are slightly smaller than the same size BFG's on the rear?

I have centerline 16 " whells and 245 50 16 up front and they rub lock to lock. They will rub a hare under a large dip in the road that I am going to fast for. other than that they are fine and this is a daily driver.
