Will a 60mm work with my combo?

My sig is below. Stock unopened block,converter and tranny.

If not,what would you recommend I do to comply with the 60?

have you changed the valve spring ? you will need a converter to run the TE 60 .... then u will need to rebuild the trans .... they are awesome turbos ... I ran one for about 6 yrs

Yes,the valve springs are fresh. About 1,000mi on them.

My tranny works fine,but its in the list for this winter along with a converter.

I run a TE-60 with the stock D5 and stock trans. Little slow on spool up but that doesn't bother me much. Car runs real strong from a roll

Well,let me tell you what... The butt dyno sez that this new 60mm made this car Roll Race King. Or maybe my stocker was just tired. (The wheels seem tight)

I could swear I broke them loose at 65mph on a downshift. I know I heard a chirp,and I wasn't wot.

At any rate,I walked a new Beemer 5 with fat tires easily.

It makes me wonder if I'm gonna blow this thing up.

my stock ls1 will make a big spin in 2nd gear ... btw it isn't fast

My guess is those are tranny parts that you have in that pic?

A tranny and converter to match the T60 are on the slate for this winter.

That's a whole other thought process as I have to research where to get the tranny. Many opinions on that.

Until then,I'm roll race king. lol

I tried a 60, with no internal upgrades and the spool was just too slow for me. With your set-up a ta49 would be awesome. A 60 will spool nicely on the highway, but from a light you might want to upgrade cam and converter.

the 60 looked pretty, just too slow to spool.

you don't need a cam until you are in the 10's ..... my stock long block with an art car 3200 went 11.40's with a 1.55 60ft on 27/50 dr's

You got that right! Took my GN to the local NHRA track and ran a 13.0 @ 108mph with a 2.45 60ft!

That's at 22psi. Ugh!

I love my Turbonetics TE-60bb turbo the only problem I have is traction control, lol, I am running a PTE 10" LU converter that stalls at 3,000 (0-1 lbs) of boost. With my combo my car pulls real hard, just the other day I got on it a little. I put the trany in third gear, gave her some gas and spun the tires in 1st, from a 25mph roll, peddled it a little trany shifted into 2nd spun the tires again peddled her again into 3rd. The car surprised the hell out of me on how hard it pulled, I figured I was around 3/4 WOT through the run, pushed the recall button on ScanMaster and there was no info recorded ( guess I was wrong lol). Now I am in the market for some sticky tires, can't wait to see what she does at WOT.

Your combo is somewhat similar to mine,with the same turbo. I am somewhat good on traction control,for now. My issue is that my beater Olds Ciera will beat my GN out of the hole. So maybe a 3,000 stall should be my choice.

I'm gonna bring this to the tranny section and see what people say. But for right now,it's 3,000.
