I'm not sure what convertor is in there now but it is either stock or close to it. My car has never been able to break 'em loose by stomping it in first or second. I have upgraded most of the engine so far. when I had a TE-60 and Orange stripe it wouldn't do it. Even my new combo of a TE-63-1, ported heads and cam won't even do it. My tranny has problems and I've never had a tranny in this car that shifted right under WOT. I'm looking into getting a billet servo to help the shift kit out a little. Do you think a 3500 stall will do this for me? I'm just running Firestone Firehawks 235/60/15 on 15X8 Cragar street stars. The car has good power up top, just not on the bottom end. The chip I'm using is a Kenne-Bell Hot Flash chip that is probably rich down low and may be part of the problem. I've put an old MM street chip back in but haven't tested it yet.

the difference between a smaller converter 9 inch and the 12 inch is night and day .. with a te63 you shou8ld get a 9 inch 3500 stall ...thats my 2cents anyway

you need a 3400 plus stall to get the thing going.give us a call if you are shopping for one,i can help you out.
