I just put a new O2 in the car about 30 miles ago and I am planning on running a bit of ATF through the motor to check for additional exhaust leaks (found one at the turbo that's loud enough that I can't hear any others). The motor has about 5K on a rebuild so I don't think I need to buy top engine cleaner I just need a little smoke;) . I think I still have the old O2 but I'm lazy and wont change it unless I have to. thanks.

If the ATF does not kill it right away, it will drastically shorten its useful life.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to screw the old one in if I can find it. Is there anything else it could hurt? I know people use it on old carbed. vehicles because of its high detergent content.

I would "assume" you are not using a cat, as the ATF will certainly kill that too.:)

Probably want to check or change the plugs after running it thru there..

:)

Yup the car is catless. Didn't really think about plugs, guess i'll have to check/replace em when im done. thanks guys.
