I have a newish laptop with Win7 Home Prem. (same as my old laptop). I'm having a security issue that I can't get around.

I received an updated version of PLC dot exe in a zipped format, and when I try to drag it to my PLC folder, or desktop, or anywhere for that matter, I get the following message window pop up.

"Windows found that this file is potentially harmful. To help protect your computer, Windows has blocked access to this file".

So I can't install it as a result.
I've tried turning off windows defender and windows firewall with no help.

the first time I tried to drag it to my PLC folder it asked if I want to "save and replace" which of course I said yes to, in order to avoid duplicates. Well it erased my PLC dot exe, but wouldn't copy the new file over because of the above windows blockage.

Any suggestions?????????

GOT IT !!!!!!! Had to turn off a security setting deep in my email program that did not allow opening or saving any executable attachments.

Took a while to find that one!
