Hi Guys. Hey I'm wondering, is it actually recommended during winter storage to lift the car off the ground and suspend the suspension during the winter months? I understand the reasoning to possibly save the springs but am wondering is it actually necessary?

Additionally, if you are using jack stands, what are the recommended lift points for the jack stands or is it the same lift points used during norming lifting (i.e. oil changes)?

Thanks

Putting the car on jackstands will save stress on all sorts of things like springs, bushings, etc. Not a bad idea if you are 100% sure that you are not going to drive the car until spring. I leave the car on the ground because there's usually a few nice days during winter where I can drive the car enough to get it warmed up and get the fluids circulating. I'm not comfortable leaving it sit dead until 5 months later. I drive it if at all possible.

I've never left the car on jackstands but I would assume the normal lift points (where the holes in the frame are) would be a safe bet on where to put them.
