Wiring problem

I have a 2006 chevy duramax battery light stays on when truck is turned off and one other dash light. dealership tells me the wiring harness under the dash is bad and the one that goes to the trans. Any body ever have this happen.

I've seen a defective ignition switch (electrical section) cause this issue before...very simple to fix

Check for water or moisture in the transmission module connector. I have seen that happen more than once. On mine the PRND321 indicator stayed on too.

Me too and one that has been installed 1 tooth off can do this as well.

I just glanced at identifix. For giggles unplug the wiper motor and see if your problem goes away

Also, do you have a scan tool that will read BCM codes and monitor BCM data stream?

Yes there's some timing involved in the installation... I've done that myself....lol
