Would this Exhaust work vs. 2.5 inch pipes ?

I have a set of 2.5 inch Pypes Race Pro muffler's I was going to convert the stock 2.25 pipes from cat-back to 2.50 inch but with a $300 tab for the job will it make that much of a difference between 1/4 inch verses just welding the muffler's up to the stick 2.25 pipe's and go ???

They want to charge you $300 to do the cat back and you supply the mufflers? You are better off selling the mufflers and buying the complete Pypes system since its a lower grade stainless and the muffler shop will most likely use plain old cheap stuff. To answer your question, every little bit helps but I doubt the 1/4" will make any noticeable difference in horsepower.

& it's about 370.00 for the cat back w / race pro

I forgot to add the fellow before me Cut the Cat off and welded a straight pipe instead of investing in a test pipe thus saving the original Flanges to bolt up to the Cat back system.
