No, but they could redo any of our other vehicles here.
They need to come pimp out the wife's Tahoe or "Hoe".
hehe

No way! Part of the fun of having a bad ass ride is crafting it yourself! It's an expression of your personal taste when you build a car yourself. I wouldn't even let them touch my Grand Prix, never mind the GN!

Steve

Some cars don't need that kind of attention. ;)
However, if I had an old Chevelle (like last night) or something that really needed it like that, Foose is the one I'd want doing it. He's very hands on, unlike a lot of these chopper & hot rod guys you see on tv.

I think Foose could do a SCHMACKIN GS, Wildcat, Riv build or even a T-R for that matter. But as far as the driveline goes, he'd need to leave that to "Buick people".

Dude can the suspension on my GN that's for sure. Everything else no.
I would love for him to tackle my 89 Caddy Fleedwood though :)

i'd let him go at my car, its not that great anyways, prety well stock and the guy knows what he's doing.

I don't know if anyone saw christopher titus's 56 (55? son't remember) that chip did for him, great looking car. I wish i would have got to see the show, i'll set the tivo for the next one.

Before anyone goes into a tyrade over the above link, click on pictures of the car: LandShark (the victim  ) ->The car Look at the before and after. Read their tale of having no money and living day to day. Read about the problems: dome light, gear shift indicator, ground wires, alternator, "blown motor" due to powerwashing, doing donuts, and driving it on the freeway???? Sounds like they'd be mad about free beer being warm. The car was a POS and they've been given $25,000 worth of freebies and are now picking it apart. Fix the stuff and call it a day, puhleeze....

What he said..

my old POS GN sure I would have let him fix it up

I would have to pull him aside beforehand and demand BLACK paint only no stupid 2 tone pinstripe crap

and stick with rims in the 16" 17" range

its a black car but that doesn't mean I want it to look like a Ni$$$$ owns it--no bling bling crap

Even after following all the links from the sites, I'll tell ya what, IMO, they can have my car any time.

$25G (they're figure) worth of free work, and they're complaining about a 20 year old engine dieing?. The engine was overhauled in 84, what are these people thinking?.

Chip, if your reading this, you can Overhaulin my GN anytime. Trash the engine, and tranny if you want, just do you regular magic on the rest of the car, and you'll never hear me complain.
Heck, even if you or one of you guys/gals blow the speakers out, I won't complain or whine about that. Oh, and you can leave the backup lights unhooked, that's less then minor, IMO. Oh and don't worry about the cigarette lighter, I don't smoke. You don't even have to worry about if the tank is full of gas.

And if you do my car, I promise to really, really, try to act as surprised as I can.

at work a while ago my dad met someone that helped build one of those cars, i don't remember which one, its been a while. anyways the guy said the car really did look nice. and thats about all the good he had to say about the car. the paint WAS perfect in every way from what i heard, other than the fact that it was rushed, didn't have time to cure and ended up bubbeling. mechanically it was hacked together.

he said it wasn't that no one there couldnt' do some amazing work, its trying to do something that looks good in a week. the choice had to be made between looks and quality. you'll never gess which one tlc or discovery channel wanted.

so now someone is stuck with a car that looked great for a while, and a bunch of goodies.

i'd still let them do my car, free stuff? pick me! and as long as the body work under the paint is good, sell some of the stereo stuff and the ugly rims and you've got the money for a nice paint job...

Agreed.

This is a very interesting thread. Thanks for the link to the guy with the 442. Y'all can say that he got free stuff and he should be happy, but you can't ignore that they (the producers) are really not treating him right.

This one will be played out in the court of public opinion.

That show is basically filmed here in Orange County. My body work was done by Santini and he was on the show. I also have a good friend that was on last weeks show helping out. He put the starter in and a couple other parts.
