I have Nitto 555 285's on the rear for daily driving and them swap over to MT for racing. What tires give better grip of the road for a daily driver?

I did not mean to get in the boost as hard as it did.

I just think a good way to look at it was lack of experience. just get used to YOUR tire set up and when your boost kicks in; ex: while turning.

practice makes perfect, I just never attempt something with friends, or public traffic I haven't attempted by myself with no one around. Im sure you could have drifted that whole turn if you had done it before. especially from a stop, its pretty easy to do and control in a GN. My personal favorites are the u turn drifts from a dead stop, the 360's aren't that fun for me because there isn't really a back n forth change with the G's you feel. with the 180 you can fish tail it for awhile after counter drifting your initial u turn, slapping your felt G'forces from left to right.

anyways very glad to hear your okay and no one was hurt! live to cruz another day

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

well shoot. that sucks!
i wouldn't fix it, their never the same.

might as well part is out. i'll send you a list of parts i need starting with the hr sway bar.:D

seriously, glad your ok.

for anybody who hasn't met jpratt in person, he's a really nice guy to talk to. very down to earth good person. wish you lived a little closer to st. loo

Parts have been located less than 2 miles from the body shop. An Regal Somerset. Body looks near perfect. Bumper is chrome and they said they can blast is and make it look great painted black. Parts car should be at the body shop by the end of the week. Maybe have my baby back by mid-August.

At least I go the Supra a new 57 trim wheel turbo, so I have something to play with. Not too worry, it has a hard time breaking the wheels loose on pavement

They tried telling the insurance that the door jamb gap was crash related but they said no. They body shop did align the door better and fixed some other fisheyes and dent in the rear half of the car, but nothing forward of door. No pictures as if yet, I picked the car up then it started to rain. I should have the car tomorrow at the meet.

Geeez I never saw this post 'til now!

Sorry to hear about the dustup, Jeff.

As others have said, glad you are OK and the car is back from the body shop. If the sunny side looks better than it did before that's great. How does the underside look? Maybe we'll get to check it out next summer at the midwest meet?

As for the Midwest Meet, not quite as many cars at VOLO this summer but it was fun as usual. TurboBob did a nice job setting up and the Chicago people made a good showing. There were more than just a few new cars this year. Maybe next year we'll include food again ...... I hate to miss a meal!;)

Hope to see you down the road.

I did nearly the exact same thing with my LS1, downshift + turn = me going off the road and hitting 3 parked cars.

Doesn't look like it was too bad, I'm sure the car will be fixed in no time.
